My skills
I'm a Software Engineer with more than ten years of experience with web technologies, an excellent team player with a positive attitude, and a deep passion for the products I'm building. I love to work with passionate teams applying the best software engineering practices.
I have contributed to full-stack web development projects, emphasizing front-end features, and developed fully functional responsive prototypes based on business requirements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript.
I like to architect modular front-end applications, build reusable components, and handle complex states. I'd also assist in the development of backend features in NodeJS/Express, Python/Django, and other technologies.
Experience
Software Engineer
Software Engineer on the Restricted Items team leading and developing frontend engineering on projects. Joined as part of the Cornershop acquisition where I was a Tech Lead.
Front-end Engineer, Technical Lead
Since joining Cornershop, I have been involved in the Uber integration and close to developing and maintaining the webview. First, working on the implementation of the webview for its first release in July 2020, and then, working on projects related to this integration, like the Unified Checkout implementation, handling of user events for analytics in Uber, supporting new JavaScript bridges, and improving the performance of the app (with particular focus on the initial load). On the Cornershop side, I participated in the project to support tipping in the app, working on the web implementation of this feature.
Front-end Engineer
Before Cornershop, I worked in some other companies; Global66, a Chilean fintech focused on international remittances but is slowly building a digital bank with a presence in Latinoamerica, Europe, and United States. I was mainly working for the ops team of the company and the back-office app of the Global66 platform. I worked on improving this back-office site's design, usability, and reliability, with a deep refactor in many app sections.
